The sculpture Chevalier (Knight) was created by Romanian artist Nicolae Fleissig at the Puerto del Rosario International Sculpture Symposium in 2003. The sculpture Chevalier is made of basalt, and figuratively one can appreciate the unmistakable form of a helmet (element of armor that protects the head and face of a medieval warrior or knight). The work that we can admire on Puerto del Rosario's seafront avenue is based on a small sculpture made of basalt and titled Chevalier I, which has dimensions of 40 cm x 40 cm x 35 cm
