This policy covers this website only. The Town Council’s other processing activities are explained at https://www.puertodelrosario.org/politica-privacidad/
What data is processed and why
This website has no forms and no visitor registration. The data processed is as follows:
| Activity | Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operation and security | IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type, in the server’s technical logs | Providing the service, detecting errors and protecting the website | Task in the public interest: promoting culture (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR and Art. 25.2.m of Spanish Law 7/1985) |
| Usage statistics (Matomo) | Anonymised IP address, cookie identifier, pages viewed, referring page, language, device and browser type, and approximate location | Learning which content is of interest and improving the website | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22.2 LSSI). Only active if you accept |
| Google map | IP address and technical connection data, sent by your browser to Google when a map is shown | Showing where each work is and how to get there | Task in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR) |
| YouTube video | IP address and playback data, sent by your browser to Google only if you press play | Watching the park’s promotional video | Your consent, by pressing play (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Enquiries | The data you include if you write to or call the Town Council | Answering your enquiry | Task in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR) |
The map’s “My location” button uses your browser’s geolocation, only with your permission, to centre the map on your position. The Town Council does not store that location.
No profiling is carried out, no advertising is used and no automated decisions are made about people.
How the statistics work
The statistics use a Matomo installation run by the data processor, not Matomo’s cloud service: the data is not shared with Matomo or used for other purposes. Before being stored, the IP address is anonymised by removing its last two blocks. Your searches and filters on the website are not sent.
How long data is kept
- Detailed visit data in Matomo: 13 months (395 days). It is then deleted automatically, leaving only reports with totals that identify nobody.
- Your cookie choice: 13 months. We will then ask you again.
- Server technical logs: as long as needed to keep the website secure.
- Enquiries: as long as needed to resolve them, and then in accordance with public archive rules.
