This delightful sculpture is the work of artists Toño Patallo and Amancio González, but the merit of its creation is not theirs alone, as they had the distinguished collaboration of the children from C.A.I Puerto del Rosario in the process, who were responsible for designing the charming figures seen in the sculpture. Since October 2014, the municipality of Puerto del Rosario has held the Child Friendly Cities seal, reflecting the City Council's commitment to protecting and safeguarding children's rights and interests. A commitment that, since 2017, is materialized in this psychedelic sculpture formed by painted iron frames that blend in impossible ways, except, perhaps, in the imagination of the little ones. The result is an eminently abstract work that changes and moves to the rhythm of the curious observer's eyes surrounding it, making the mere act of contemplating it, naturally, child's play. But the frames we see are actually much more than that. For the authors, they represent windows of striking colors, all open to children's infinite capacities and talents. In fact, a small group peers playfully into that world opening before them, eager to see and discover everything that lies beyond. Located in the childhood park, the work is, in itself, an ode to childhood, to innocence, to imagination and, above all, to that hope that children treasure and radiate like a superpower.
